Singapore Health Quality Service Awards 2019

The Singapore Health Quality Service Awards (SHQSA) 2019 ceremony took place on 15 January at the National University of Singapore’s University Cultural Centre with President Halimah Yacob in attendance as the guest of honour.

Organised by the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, the annual awards have recognised and celebrated the exemplary efforts of healthcare professionals in service excellence since 2011. This year, we are pleased to share that 26 colleagues from KWSH have been recognised at the awards. Among them, Nurse Manager Loh Kwai Yoke was presented with the Superstar Award, being one of only nine winners who received this highest accolade under the SHQSA.

We congratulate all the KWSH winners and thank them for their outstanding display!

Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital boasts 750 beds in nursing home care at our Serangoon Road main site and more than 400 beds at our second nursing home, KWSH @ Potong Pasir. Staffed by over 800 trained and professional employees, our inpatient services, rehabilitation centres, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) centres, community care centres and home care services serve thousands of patients every month.

Despite being a charitable organisation that is heavily dependent on public support and donations, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital remains focused on providing quality care and services to our clients. Besides our care services, KWSH also runs a community training institute.
