Bridging Generations, Building Communities

Join us for our annual KWSH Community Care Event as we celebrate 115 years of caring for the community! This year, we are extending our outreach with a week of activities leading up to the main carnival on Saturday, 5 April 2025, from 9.00 AM to 12.30 PM.

With the theme “Bridging Generations, Building Communities”, the event will bring together seniors, families, and health and community partners for a meaningful day of engagement. Look forward to free health screenings and TCM consultations, interactive workshops, carnival games, food stalls, and exciting performances!

Come be a part of this special occasion as we foster stronger community ties and celebrate the spirit of giving.

Why is KWSH's annual Community Care event one week this year?

This year, we’re celebrating Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital’s 115th anniversary by turning our annual Community Care Day into a whole week of fun and meaningful activities! From 1 to 5 April, we’ve partnered with healthcare providers to bring you a series of exciting workshops and events, leading up to the grand Community Care Carnival on 5 April. It’s going to be a week full of joy, engagement, and community spirit!

When is Community Care Week 2025?

Community Care Week 2025 will be held from 1 to 5 April, featuring a series of engaging and informative activities, from 1 to 4 April, leading up to the Community Care Carnival on 5 April (Saturday), from 9.00am to 12.30pm at Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital.

When is KWSH's Community Care Carnival?

Community Care Day will take place on 5 April 2025, from 9.00am to 12.30pm. It’s the grand finale of Community Care Week, a week-long celebration of health, unity, and community spirit. Join us for a day filled with exciting activities, performances, and more!

How can I register for the activities and workshops happening from 1 to 4 April?

How can I register for the Health Screening for Musculoskeletal Health and Falls Prevention by SGH on 5 April?

To register for the health screening, please email us at fund_raising@kwsh.org.sg. As slots are limited, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to secure your spot early!

How can I get carnival coupons for 5 April?

Get your carnival coupons by joining the fun at our activities from 1 to 4 April. We encourage you to participate in these weekday events to secure your carnival coupon. If you miss out, don't worry! Additional coupons will be available on 5 April at the event itself on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.

Am I eligible for multiple carnival coupons if I participate in more than one activity?

Yes, you are! Each activity you participate in from 1 to 4 April entitles you to one carnival coupon. The more activities you join, the more coupons you can collect. This means you can share them with your friends and family and bring them along to enjoy the fun at the carnival on 5 April!

What is the limited-edition KWSH item, and how can I get it?

In celebration of our 115th anniversary, we’ve partnered with social enterprise Alfya Atelier to create a unique limited-edition KWSH item made from upcycled hospital linen. The first 300 participants who collect 6 stamps from our partner booths during the carnival on 5 April 2025 will be eligible to claim this special item. Simply head to the Heritage Gallery at Block D to collect your limited-edition piece.
